You might have already gone through the brief description of how to create Tests within your Test package. Now check out a detailed explanation of how to create a Test. If you have any doubt regarding the Test creation check the detailed information given on this page.
Creating a test is super easy with Admisure. We have preloaded templates for the exams you have selected while creating the Test Package. You just need to click on the Template drop-down and select the exam type. Select the exam name consecutively. After choosing the right options, you will see the preview of the exam info. Click on the “Save” button to proceed further.
After selecting the exam-specific template and exam name you will see a small preview of the exam interface.
A template is a format of exam conduction. Templates are predefined with exam pattern, marking scheme, exam language and instruction for aspirants who are taking the test. Templates also define the look of the exam interface.
Pre-loaded Templates are introduced with a vision of making the test creation process as easy as possible. You will not need to manually type all data in the Test creation form.
You just have to select the template you like and your test will be set according to a particular pattern. Test creation would be hassle-free and quick.
There are two kinds of Test Templates available with Admisure:
1. General
2. Exam specific (SSC. Banking, Railway) etc exams.
A general template is a standard pattern of conducting various tests. A standard test conducting process may not necessarily replicate the actual test conduction pattern or interface. However, it would still help in preparing the aspirants to be ready to face any exam.
The next thing you have to do is to add the name of the Test you are creating. We suggest creating a test name that is relatable to the exam you have chosen.
Example – SSC CGL Tier 1 Test 1, SSC CHSL Tier 1 Tier 2 etc.
Here you have to select the exam type. If you want to create a test for the SSC CGL exam, you have to select SSC in the exam type. The exam type is the information of the exam conducting body. If you select the wrong exam type you will not able to find the right exam in the Exam Name field.
You have to choose the name of the exam according to the exam type you have selected. You can click on the Exam Name field and select the correct option from the drop-down.
The Test Type indicates the kind of test you want to create. You can create various types of tests with us. A test can be Date Enabled or Non-Date Enabled. The Live Test (Date Enabled) is the only date enabled test available to us. The rest of the tests are not date enabled. To select the type of test you want to add you just have to click on the drop-down and select the test type.
A Date Enabled Test (Live test) will have a start date and end date. Apart from the date, there will be a Start time and end time too. This would mean aspirants can only attempt that particular test within the fixed date and time. Post that period aspirants will not be able to attempt the test.
Unlike date enable tests non-date enabled tests does not have any fixed time or date of attempting. Aspirants can attempt the test at any point in time until the expiry of their package.
Let’s have a look at the kind of tests available with Admisure. There are five kinds of test that you can create. The test types are as follows:
Chapter Wise
Full Length
Live Test (Date Enabled)
Previous Year Test
Sectional Test
Chapter Wise: In a chapter-wise test all the questions should be of a single chapter of a particular exam subject.
Example: If you are creating a Chapter Wise test for SSC CGL Tier 1, 1st determine which subject will you pick. SSC CGL Tier 1 exam had 4 papers. General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. If you choose General Intelligence as a subject of your test you have to create the test focusing on a chapter that comes within the syllabus of General Intelligence. In such a case, the test may be created with the questions of the Coding and Decoding chapter which is a part of the syllabus for General Intelligence.
Full Length: A Full-Length Test should be a complete test that will contain questions related to all the subjects of a single phase of an exam.
Example: If you are creating a test for SSC CGL Tier 1. You have to add questions for all four sections in the SSC CGL tier 1 exam. Your test should have 4 sections that are General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & English Comprehension.
Live Test (Date Enabled): A date enabled live test is a test that can only be attempted within a fixed time. There will be a start and end date along with the time for attempting those tests. Post that time and date aspirants will not be able to attempt that test. Once you select Live Date enabled test there will be a pop up on the webpage for you to put a start and end date. It will also ask for a start time and end time on that particular date to begin the test and to end the test.
Example: If you have created a test for SSC CGL Tier 1 and selected Live (Date enabled), It will ask you to put a start date and end date. You can select the start date as 05/01/2021 00:00 am and 30/03/2021 11:59 pm end date. Post this time the aspirants will not be able to attempt the test. Aspirants will have to attempt that test within this time.
Previous Year Test: If you select the Previous Year Test, in that case, the questions of the test should be the original questions that were there in the actual exam conducted in the recent past.
Example: If you want to create a Previous Year Test for SSC CGL Tier 1 in the year 2021, this test should contain questions from the question paper of the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam that was conducted in 2019. It may also contain original questions of SSC CGL Tier 1 that were conducted in 2018, 2017 or any recent past.
Sectional Test: A sectional test must have questions related to one or more sections of a particular exam phase or tire.
By section of an exam, we indicate the subjects of the exam in each phase. Let’s consider we are creating a test for SSC CHSL. SSC CHSL has four subjects in tier 1. You have to create a test covering all the subjects of the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam, which are English, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning. Each subject in SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is called a section of the exam.
Now you have to select the subject or subjects that you want to include in your test. Click on the Subject field and in the drop-down, you will get the list of subjects as per the chosen exam.
The difficulty level indicates how complicated the question is in your test. There are three levels of difficulty to choose from; Easy, Medium and Hard. You have to choose the difficulty level for your test to define what kind of question the aspirants can expect in that particular test.
This indicates the allocated time for the aspirants to complete answering all the questions in the test. The time could range from a few mins to hours however, you have to mention the time duration in terms of mins.
Example: If you want to allow 2 hours for a test you have to write 120min instead of 2 hours.
You must put the total marks out of which the test will be conducted. It can be according to the real exam or as per your choice. However, you have to explain the marking scheme of your test to the aspirants who would attempt the test.
Here you have to select the language in which your test questions are going to be. If you are adding questions in the English language select English. If you are adding questions in Hindi select Hindi. However, you can also add a question in both Hindi and English. You need to select both the language in the Language Field drop-down if you want to create a bilingual test.
Next, you have to choose a faculty who have created the test. Adding the name of the faculty would give an idea to the aspirants that the test was created by a subject matter expert. Giving credit to a faculty for creating the test will make your test more personalized and reliable.
The last field is to select instruction for exams and for navigating instruction of the exam interface. There will be pre-loaded instructions available on the website for the exam you have chosen. You can either choose from the existing instruction or you can also edit, write or upload your instruction for the tests.
